Kenneth E. Parsons, 68, of Washington, went to his Heavenly Home, after spending an early Thanksgiving with his family. He was born on August 7, 1949 in Loogootee, Indiana to Eugene and Eugenia (Kidwell) Parsons. He was a 1967 graduate of Loogootee High School and received his Bachelor of Science from Indiana University in 1972. On August 23, 1969 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, he married the love of his life, Jodi (Neely) Parsons. Kenneth worked as a C.P.A. for 45 years and founded Parsons & Associates of Washington. He was a member of New Hope Christian Church. He was a part of the Tuesday-Thursday Golf Guys group, past president of the Washington Country Club, a member of the AICPA, 40 year member of the Indiana CPA Society, United Way Board of Directors, Lay Director of Walk to Emmaus, past president of Daviess Community Hospital Board of Governors, Daviess County Deputy Coroner, past president of Daviess County Airport, New Hope Christian Church Treasurer, past board member of Daviess County Community Foundation, and a past Finance Committee member of Christ United Methodist Church.

Kenneth is survived by his mother Eugenia (Kidwell) Parsons; wife and best friend Jodi (Neely) Parsons; children: Peter A. Parsons (Dr. Kim) and Patti A. Allen (Michael); brothers: Keith Parsons (Janet), Larry Parsons (Marilou), Robert Parsons (Alice), Ronnie Parsons (Denise); sister Connie Padgett (Charlie); sister-in-law Rose Lichlyter; and five grandchildren: Simon Parsons, Elijah Parsons, Elire Parsons, Garrett Allen, and Zack Allen, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene Parsons and brother Gary Parsons.

The funeral service for Ken will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11am at New Hope Christian Church with Pastor Joe Coquillard officiating and Pastor Tom Watson assisting. Visitation will be at the church on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 1-7 pm and on Saturday from 10-11am prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Bethany Cemetery.
