Delbert W. Stoll, 72, of Loogootee, passed away on Tuesday October 17, 2017 at 2:45 A.M at IU Health and Rehabilitation Center in Indianapolis.

He was born on April 17, 1945 in Rugby, North Dakota to the late John H. and Minnie (Ashton) Stoll.

Delbert was a known “Jack of all Trades”, he enjoyed his family, grandchildren, and great – grandchildren. He loved music and could play any instrument. Delbert enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking, golf, and vacationing in Florida. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for over 30 years at Loogootee Community Schools. Delbert was a pastor at Shoals United Methodist Church for 9 and a half years.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy “Dot” (Gingerich) Stoll, whom he married on February 22, 1964 and they had 53 happy years together, his children; Karry (fiancé Michelle) Stoll of Montgomery, Tina (Charlie) Blackwell of Evansville, his grandchildren; Andrea Jones, Robin Stoll, Tyler Stoll, Chelsea Blackwell, Laicee Blackwell, Jonathan Blackwell, his great- grandchildren; Liam Richard Mundy, Kade Emmett Cooper, his siblings; Zetta (Joe) (Graber) Lengacher of Loogootee, Howard (Mary) Stoll of Montgomery, Ruby (Paul) Miller of Montgomery, Don (Debbie) of Chelsea, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.

Delbert is preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings; Chuck Stoll, infant brother Frank Stoll, Bob Stoll,  Dorothy (Zook) Berkey, Jim Stoll, and John D. Stoll.

A funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00 A.M at the Loogootee United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Providence Mennonite Cemetery in Montgomery.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M at the Loogootee United Methodist Church, and again on Friday from 9:00 A.M until time of service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Loogootee United Methodist Church Building Fund.
