The Indiana Department of Environmental Management’s Office of Air Quality has approved a permit for a planned expansion of GPC in Daviess County.
Eric Thomsen with the legal department at GPC’s Headquarters in Iowa told the Washington Times Herald that the permit approval is progress toward the largest capital investment in GPC in Washington since it was built. The expansion announced two years ago could add 16 more jobs to the plant that now employs 150.
Last week we reported that Maysville Enterprises, which deals with GPC, had a tax abatement request approved for a new warehouse which will cost 2 million build and employ 4 more people. The warehouse is expected to be utilized with GPC’s expansion.
