State Rep. Lloyd Arnold will be the new director of law enforcement for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
The Leavenworth Republican is expected to step down from his role in the General Assembly. He starts his new job on Oct. 23.
Arnold has been a lawmaker since 2012, representing Crawford, Dubois, Orange, Perry and Spencer counties. He has served as vice chairman of the House Natural Resources committee.
Arnold previously owned a Servpro water and fire damage restoration business and was a Crawford County reserve sheriff’s deputy. He is also an Army veteran and served in Iraq as a member of the Indiana National Guard.
The appointment was announced Wednesday by Gov. Eric Holcomb and the Department of Natural resources.
