500 prolife supporters turned out for the 2017 Daviess County Right to Life Banquet held at the Simon J. Graber Building near Odon last night.
Right to Life groups of Daviess, Pike and Martin Counties were on hand to witness Roger and Adriane Callahan and their son Hezekiah awarded the Adoptive Family of the year. Joe Sponn was awarded a special award for the donations and support to the local community.
State Right to Life President Mike Fichter was in attendance and talked about the progress made in prolife legislation in the first nine months of 2017. Sheila Harper the President of the nonprofit SaveOne an abortion recovery center was the featured speaker. SaveOne has a local chapter at the Washington Pregnancy Care Center.
Local Daviess County Right to Life President Lou Kavanaugh called last night a great event giving the group a shot in the arm and encouragement to continue their mission.
