An off duty state trooper made an arrest in Martin County Friday morning.

At 7:11, Senior Trooper Jarrod Lents was driving south on US 231 north of the Haysville Bridge and saw the headlights of another vehicle approaching and traveling extremely fast.  Lents activated his radar and clocked the car at over 100 miles an hour in the 55mph zone.   Trooper Lents pulled over and allowed the Chevy Impala to pass.  He then activated his lights and stopped the car and placed 36-year-old Mathew Jeter of Bedford in custody for Reckless Driving.
