Lettie (Wheeler) York, 73, of Loogootee, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Daviess Community Hospital in Washington.
She was born August 21, 1944 in Bedford, Indiana to the late Steven Owen Wheeler and Hannah Gertrude Grant.
Lettie loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved country music and had a beautiful singing voice. She was an organ donor and gave the gift of life to many in need.
She was preceded in death by parents, Steven Wheeler, Gertrude Wheeler, Rosemary Wheeler and Dorothy Wheeler; infant grandsons, Christian and Clayton Kluesner; siblings, Chuck Wheeler, James Wheeler, Flossie Dyer and Jamie Boyd; grandson-in-law, James Allen.
Lettie is survived by her children, Lana (Jerry) Kluesner of Loogootee, Steve (Sabrina) Sipes of Bicknell, Lori (Stephen) Bailey of Bloomington, Chad Sipes of Bloomfield and Tina (Tyler) Thompson of Paragon; grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Kollmeyer, Danielle (David) Schneider, Holly (Cody) Humbert, Jordan and Skyler Sipes, Sierra (David) Warren, Steve and Heather Cazee, Ashley Allen, Dustin Bailey, Zachary, Cole and Marcus Sipes, Jonathan and Jalen Faith; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Katelynn, Aubrey, Jacob, Sophie, Hank, Roman, Emma, Simon, Lathen, Oliver, Charlotte, Braxton, Hunter and Arianna; siblings, Carolyn Wheeler, Linda Darnell, Tim Cazee, Chris Cazee, John Goldsby, Mark Dyer and Mike Sexton.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home.
Cremation will follow and no funeral services will be held.
