A Sullivan, Indiana couple is facing Level 6 Felony Counts of Battery of a Child under 14.
Indiana State Police started investigating after being contacted by the Department of Child Services. They say the investigation shows that between September 8th and 10th the couple allegedly became upset with the actions of their 7-year-old daughter and battered her. The child has been removed from the home and is said to be doing well with other family members.
Arrested were the girl’s father, 31-year-old Daniel Robert Williams and her Step-Mother, 33-year-old Coral Leigh Mahnken.
