The Martin County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding who’s responsible for a rash of mailbox vandalism incidents.
They say the acts are being committed when schools are not in session and mailboxes are being damaged or torn down by vandals using rip rap rock. Anyone with information can contact the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 812-247-3726. Tips will remain anonymous. The department says mailbox vandalism is criminal mischief and is against federal laws.
