One electrical worker was killed and another injured at the football field at Jasper yesterday during the noon hour.

At 12:06-pm, 62-year-old Earl W. Hulsman of Ireland and 60-year-old Kurt D. Brescher of Velpen were replacing lights at Jerry Brewer Alumni Stadium when the lift they were in tipped over and fell 40 feet.  The reason for the incident is unknown.

Hulsman was unresponsive when medical teams arrived but was resuscitated and taken to Memorial Hospital in Jasper but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Brescher complained of injuries and was taken to Jasper Memorial.  His condition was unknown but the injuries were said to be non-life threatening.

Both men worked for Hulsman Electric.
