A traffic stop on I69 near Petersburg netted five pounds of marijuana and 2 arrests.
At 12:45-am Sunday, State Police stopped a 2002 Malibu near the Petersburg exit on the interstate for having a defective license plate light. Upon investigation, Trooper CJ Boekman smelled burnt marijuana. A search turned up five one pound packages of marijuana in a duffel bag in the trunk.
Arrested were 40-year-old Robel N. Kidane and 23-year-old Rickelle L. Moubray, both of Lansing, Michigan. Both face charges of Dealing and Possession of Marijuana and nuisance offenses.
