An accident in Elnora, vehicle fire south of Washington, drug arrests in Daviess and Knox Counties…

-Daviess and Pike County authorities responded to a report at 7:08 on Friday morning of a man wrapped in an American flag leaning over the edge of the Gill Hodges Bridge on State Road 57 at the county line. Log entries indicate the man had ties to Greene County and he was transported there.

-At 9:30 yesterday morning, there was a report of a semi hitting a wire at Griffith and Main Streets in Elnora.    Duke and New Wave Communications were called to the scene.  No injuries in the incident.

-Southeast Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at 7:10 last night at Highway 257 and 400- South. There were no injuries and crews were on the scene for about a half hour. The vehicle was towed

-There was a car deer crash on I69 at the 53.5 mile marker at about 9:40 last night.

 -Overnight, Odon Police charged 22-year-old Magdalena Swartzentruber of Odon with Operating While Intoxicated and Operating While Intoxicated with Endangerment.  The arrest was made by Odon Police.  Bond was set at $2000.

-An Odon man was jailed Friday for Possession of Marijuana Operating While Intoxicated with a Controlled Substance, Driving While suspended with a Prior and Possession of Paraphernalia.  No bond was set for 22-year-old Jonathan Kay.

-27-year-old Natasha Underwood of Columbus, Indiana was booked into the Daviess County Security Center Friday on a charge of Possession of a Syringe.

-26-year-old Jakob Batchelar of Washington as arrested Friday for Possession of a Syringe and Possession of a Handgun without a License.

 -Vincennes Police investigated a trespassing complaint that turned into a drug investigation at 9 last night at 650 Kimmell Road.  29-year-old Amanda S. Byrer of Vincennes was arrested for Felony Possession of a Syringe, and Misdemeanor counts of Possession of Paraphernalia and Visiting a Common Nuisance.  Also taken into custody at the scene was 37-year-old Spencer C. Barmes of Pennsylvania. He’s charged with Felony counts of Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Meth, Dealing in Meth and Maintaining A Common Nuisance as well as Misdemeanor charges of Possession of Marijuana and Paraphernalia.
