Mark S. Barmes, 54, passed away on July 26, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Mark was born on January 31, 1963 in Millington, Tennessee the son of Marvin, Sr. and Barbara J. (Lacy) Barmes.
Mark worked for Awesome Wholesale in Accounts Payable. He enjoyed fishing, and loved spending time with his grandson Kaynen. Mark also loved Mt. Dew and really enjoyed mowing grass.
Survivors include his daughter, Lacy Barmes and her boyfriend Matt Davis of Vincennes; son Jordan Barmes and his fiancée Megan Schnelle of Vincennes; parents Marvin Sr. and Barbara Barmes; grandson Kaynen Davis; best friend Jennifer Johnson of Vincennes; brother Greg Barmes and his wife Susan of Vincennes; sister Mary Jackson of Lawrenceville; brother Brian Barmes and his wife Kim of Vincennes; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Mark was preceded in death by his brother Marvin Barmes, Jr.; paternal grandparents Cleo and Ruby Barmes and maternal grandparents Steven and Delores Lacy.
Mark’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway with Rev. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with Marks family on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the hour of service time of 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
