The Washington City Council Meets This Evening

The Washington City Council meets in the Council Chambers on Harned Avenue at 6 p.m. this evening.

 

 

The Council has three items on the tonight’s agenda. Council members will hear an update on the former Tokheim property on Front Street. The Council will also vote on an ordinance establishing a rate for advertisements on the new electronic message board at the entrance to East Side Park. The third item is a review of the economic development industrial tax abatements for property used by Alliance Barrier Films on the east side of Washington. The Board of Works and Safety will meet after the Council meeting and will receive bids for repair and repainting of one of the City’s water towers. The Board will also receive bids on four trucks for the Street Department. The Board will also consider a backpay request from a local police officer.
