Legendary race car driver and engine builder Sam Jones has been warming up his fresh built gasser wagon to return to racing this weekend.
The Southeast Gassers Racing series makes a stop at Lyons Raceway Park tomorrow.
The Southeast say they have a passion for representing drag racing as it was 50 or more years ago. The series actually started in 2012 but Jones says he didn’t know about until last fall. Jones learned that the Southeast Gassers were actually looking for him to have a race in our area.
Today is test and tune at the raceway, The first round of qualifying starts tomorrow at 4-pm. The admission cost is $15 for adults
