State Representative Mike Braun of Jasper, representing District 63, is considering a run for US Senate.

He told the Washington Times Herald he’s not officially declared but is talking with people and seeing what kind of support is out there. With the current political climate, many feel that Democrat Joe Donnelly is vulnerable in next year’s election.  Indiana Congressmen Todd Rokita and Luke Messer are front runners in the effort to unseat Donnelly.

Braun currently serves on the House Ways and Means and Transportation Committees and the Select Committee on Government Reduction.  His district covers parts of Daviess, Pike, Martin and Dubois Counties.
