Rosemary D. Evans, 89, of Vincennes, passed away at 9:35 am CST Monday at her daughter’s residence in Princeton.

She was born October 25, 1927 in Knox County, Indiana to Edward and Josephine (Hayes) Donnoe.

Raised in the Catholic faith, she enjoyed reading her bible every day, quilting, cooking for her neighbors, and was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary.  Her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren all held a special place in her heart.

Surviving are her children, Arthur (Rita) Evans of Patoka, Bill (Kathy) Evans of Marietta GA, Roy (Charlene) Evans of Indianapolis, Jimmie (Sue) Evans of Mooresville, Mary “Susie” (Dave) Vieck of Vincennes, Brenda Harper of Princeton, Linda (Robert) Nelson of Lawton, OK, Nancy (Lyman) Morris of Vincennes, Emma (Tony) Coulter of Hope IN, and Carol (David) Justus of Dubois IL; one brother, Fred Donnoe; one sister, Edna Stewart of Vincennes; 26 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Bill” Paul Evans whom she married September 27, 1947 and preceded on January 22, 2004; two sisters, Bessie Anders, and Edna Stewart; and two brothers, Herb and Joe Donnoe.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday June 2, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Father Bennie Chacko officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the service on Friday.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Parish.
