Patrick Colvin Jr., age 91, of Corning, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 1:10 pm at Washington Nursing Center.

He was born on May 6, 1926 in Jasper to Patrick and Anna T (Kinsella) Colvin. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in WWII. He had worked for the Indiana Conservation Department and retired from Crane where he worked as a mechanic for 30 years. He was member of St. Peters Catholic Church, The Brute Society and the Loogootee American Legion. He is survived by three sons, David (Margaret) Colvin of Montgomery, Michael (Barbara) Colvin of Willow, Alaska, Neil (Sheila) Colvin of Jasper; two daughters, Mary Ann (John) Kensek of Plainville and Carol Saul of Corning; Seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie (Doyle) Colvin on July 23, 2013, whom he married July 9, 1949. He was also preceded in death by his son; Daniel Colvin; sisters, Ginny Evans, Agnes Craney and Margaret Walker; brothers, Lewis Colvin, Fredrick Colvin, Joseph Colvin, John Colvin, Robert Colvin and Charles Colvin; great grandson William David Compton III.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at St. Peter Catholic Church with Fr James Koressel officiating. Burial will follow at Glencoe Cemetery in Glendale. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary. Military graveside rites conducted by the Loogootee American Legion and the VFW.
