Charles R. (Bob) Mills, 79, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017.
He was born February 26, 1938 in Loogootee, Indiana and had been a snowbird in Florida since 1993 moving to Vero Beach, Florida 5 years ago from Greenwood.
He attended Indiana Central College, Indianapolis.
He was a veteran of the US Army.
Bob retired after 32 years from Allison Gas Turbine Division of GM, Indianapolis.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Catherine Mills; brother, Jim; sisters, Eileen, Anna Beatrice, Elma and Anna Regina.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna; children, Marcie Mills and partner Sissy Stowe, Eric Mills and partner Jeff Neese; brothers, Glenn, Earl and Ed Mills; sisters, Norene, Jean and Alice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Very Rev. J. Kenneth Walker at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee.
