Agnes M. Opell, 92, of 2632 S. Harvest Acres Drive, passed away Sunday at 12:05 am May 14, 2017 at Lodge of the Wabash.
She was born January 19, 1925 in Pike County to Rudolph and Rosa (Barrett) Gordon.
Agnes and her husband owned and operated mobile home sales and had been a retail clerk in Florida. She was a faithful member of the Central Church of Christ.
Surviving are her two sons, Terry and Nancy Opell, Bruce and Sheila Opell; a son-in-law, John Walters; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; three sisters, Zua Morris of Morrow, OH, Julia Owens of Indianapolis, Susie Heckman of Sterling, IL; and a brother, Lloyd Gordon of Mobile, Alabama.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Paul Opell; a daughter, Paula Walters; and four brothers and sisters, Lucille West, George Gordon, Diane Owens, and Barb Hagen.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday May 17, 2017 at Goodwin Funeral Home with Roger Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
