Another joint Daviess County Council and Commissioners meeting is slated for the coming week.
Both the council and commissioners will meet together Wednesday morning beginning at 9 to further discuss the Courthouse Annex Project.
At a joint meeting last month, it was decided to construct a new building near the courthouse to house some of the county offices as the current courthouse struggles with space problems. An official vote on that decision could take place on Wednesday. Last month architects said that if plans for the annex are approved in early June, bids could be let in September, and construction could possibly begin in mid-October. Construction of the new annex would take between 12 and 18 months.
