Police say they’ve identified the person they believe called a western Indiana high school claiming to be inside with a firearm and explosives.

Terre Haute Police Chief John Plasse said Friday that the person who authorities think made the hoax call April 7 to Terre Haute North High School also is implicated in hoaxes in a dozen other states. Plasse say that person isn’t in custody.

Police have arrested a juvenile in the phone threat that prompted dozens of police officers to storm the school. The juvenile faces felony charges including intimidation.

Plasse says police are still investigating and that more arrests are expected.
The school’s 1,800 students and their teachers were told to shelter in classrooms. Students were later moved while a bomb-sniffing police dog checked the school.
