George T. Kendall, 90, of Washington, went to his Heavenly Home on March 21, 2017.
He was born on February 6, 1927 to George and Flossie H. Kendall. He was a 1945 graduate of Washington High School. He also studied at Purdue University. On November 29, 1950, he married the love of his life Melba Kendall. They recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. George was a grain, livestock, and dairy farmer. He was an Army Veteran. George enjoyed being a 4-H member, leader, and director. He loved to hunt and fish.
George is survived by sons: Don and Loretta Kendall, Joe and Cathy Kendall, Bill and Susie Kendall, and Jim and Susan Kendall; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Melba Kendall, his parents; daughter Beth Ann Kendall; and grandsons Matthew and Kyle Kendall.
The funeral service for George will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10am at Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut Street, Washington, IN 47501. Brother Steve Dayton will officiate. Friends may call on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 4-8pm at the funeral home and on Saturday prior to the service from 9-10am. Interment will follow the service at Oak Grove Cemetery.
