A series of meetings have been scheduled for next month to get Daviess County residents feedback on a Daviess County Annex .  The public will be able to receive information,  ask questions and comment.  In a recent interview, President of the County Commissioners, Nathan Gabhart talked about why an annex is needed.  He says the courthouse is running out of room to store records and as the county population has increased, more space to do the work at the courthouse is a priority.  He says ultimately it boils down to the judicial system..

There’s been no decision on how to increase space or to build an annex. The meetings next month are to get the public’s  thoughts on the issue

The Daviess County Commissioners and Council are hosting the meetings to be held in Washington at the 4H building on Wednesday, March 1, at the Odon Community Building on Monday March 6th and the Montgomery Ruritan Building on Monday March 13th. All the town hall style meetings start at 6pm.
