Accidents and incidents

 

 

 

-No one was injured when a 1991 Chevy went off the road on 257 just south of 200-east Saturday night.  At 11:10-pm, 70-year-old Ronald G. Quackenbush was driving north and was distracted by a cigarette in the vehicle.  He went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and then off the left side and down an embankment.  The car turned over.  Again, there were no injuries.

-A person went to the police station Saturday afternoon saying that someone was at the Train Depot wanting to trade tools for gasoline.  Police investigated and long formed three people on drug and nuisance charges.

-Saturday afternoon in the 5pm hour police received reports from the Campbell Hill and East National Highway areas of residents hearing loud booms.  One was said to have shaken a house.  Police drove around the area for a time and were unable to locate anything.

-Saturday event a resident on Memorial Avenue reported 10 bottles of pills stolen from the front seat of a parked car.

-A business owner on 150-south reported arriving to work Saturday morning to find some windows shot out.

-A resident on Northwest 21st in Washington reported the side windows of  a parked jeep busted out.
