Karl O. Harder, 90, of Loogootee, passed away at 12:06 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center.
He was born December 24, 1926 in Shoals, Indiana to the late Edward and Anna (Mann) Harder.
Karl married Anna Irene (Reilly) Harder November 7, 1954 and she preceded him in death.
He attended St. John Lutheran Church and was a member of the Loogootee American Legion.
Karl was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Irene (Reilly) Harder; parents, Edward and Anna (Mann) Harder; infant son, Edward Joseph Harder; daughter, Sally Hotz; siblings, Engery Harder, Lillian Harder, Christine Harder and Howard Harder.
He is survived by his children, Bill Harder of Washington, Karla Harder of Loogootee, Joni (Paul) Roads of Arizona, Mary (Kent) Salmon of Loogootee and Joyce (Greg) Hall of French Lick; grandchildren, Seth Harder, April Hotz, Karla French, Nick Hall, Riley and Morgan Roads, Gage, Jim and Adam Salmon; 5 great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Clarann) Harder of Shoals and Bill (Dorothy) Harder of Tennessee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home.
