-A Washington man was arrested on Saturday for disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.  City police were called to the apartments on Southeast 2nd due to several complaints of alleged disturbances by 49-year-old Donne G. Heggen.  After investigation officers arrested him and he apparently resisted officers while being apprehended.  No bond was set at the Daviess County Security Center.  Daviess County Mugshots

-A woman went to the hospital after a collision on Daviess County Roads 400-south and 450-East near Glendale on Saturday.
39-year-old Deanna Dietz of Washington was driving a 1999 Cherokee north on 400-South and approached the intersection and turned right onto 450-East. She was slightly in the middle of the road as was a 2016 Kubota Tractor driven by 66-year-old Wallace Knepp of Washington. Dietz hit the tractor in the left front wheel. Knepp says he was getting ready to turn into a private drive when the Jeep came around the corner. Dietz complained of knee pain and went to the hospital by private vehicle.

-There was a truck broken into while parked at the old 4th Street Diner location in Washington. The incident was reported just before 8-pm Saturday.

-Sunday at just before 5, authorities were called to East Side Park where an 8 year old was stuck in some swings.  According to police reports the swing had to be cut to free the child.   Medical release forms were signed at the scene and no one was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
