The Odon Town Council met in special session this week reviewing proposals from three engineering firms. One will eventually assist the town with storm water issues and a grant application. The firm getting the contract will apply for a $40,000 grant to aid with both storm water and water utility planning. The three firms are Triad Associates from Indianapolis, Commonwealth Engineers of Evansville and Midwest Engineers of Loogootee. Engineering work for the project will include studies of wetlands, ditches and drainage basin in Odon and is some arreas outside of town that affect property owners. An announcement stating which firm is chosen will be made in the coming weeks. The town hopes work on the project can start this summer.
