The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department wrote 67 tickets over the Increased Holiday Travel Enforcement conducted over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend last month. Increased enforcement during that time is an annual statewide effort supported by federal highway safety funding. Authorities say the foundations of driving safe start with actions like wearing a seatbelt and not drinking and driving. Law enforcement will continue to drive those messages home to all drivers and passengers.
