The Annual RSVP Volunteer Recognition luncheon was held yesterday afternoon at the Gasthof in Montgomery. With the room full of volunteers in our community, it was announced that this year the group exceeded over 93 thousand hours of service to the community with a dollar value over 1.8 million dollars this past year. Individuals volunteer for area non profits, government entities, schools, health care offices, and other locations as needed throughout the year. This year’s volunteer of the year was Emma Silcock who has been a volunteer with the RSVP program for over 19 years serving countless hours to the community.
