In the last two days of absentee voting in Daviess County, voters had to wait in line. This past Saturday there were reported waits of two hours at the Daviess County Courthouse. Yesterday, before absentee voting wrapped up at noon there were half hour waits.
Daviess County Clerk Janice Williams reported to us just before 6 last night saying that 2.825 of the 19,300 registered voters in Daviess County voted in the clerk’s office over the absentee voting period. She says there 388 mail in ballots, 206 travel board ballots and 12 ballots sent by email. Those numbers will be added to the vote tallies tonight.
