Joseph Knepp Jr., 49, of Loogootee, went to live with his Heavenly Father while surrounded by his family at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at Memorial Hospital and Healthcare Center.
He was born March 30, 1967 in Daviess County, Indiana to the late Joseph and Viola (Lengacher) Knepp.
Joe married Lois Marner February 4, 1998 and she survives.
He was employed at Marner Door Manufacturing. He was member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Viola Marie; parents, Joseph and Viola (Lengacher) Knepp; two brothers, Samuel Ray Knepp and Lewis Knepp; four nephews.
He is survived by his wife, Lois (Marner) Knepp of Loogootee; four children, Janelle (Timothy) Schrock, Perry Joe (Angela) Knepp, Rosie Mae (Galen David) Knepp, and Lawayne Knepp and special friend, Laura Lengacher, all of Loogootee; two grandchildren, Kendall Schrock and Jamal Knepp; seven sisters, Dorothy Mae Knepp, Fannie Marie (Ernest) Graber, Lillie (Norman) Wagler, Rosanna (Lester) Knepp, Sarah (Ernest) Graber, Delores (Paul) Miller, and Loretta (William) Graber; one brother, Howard (Barbara Jean) Knepp; father-in- law and mother-in- law, Lester and Sylvia Marner; sister-in- law, Esther (William) Knepp; 36 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the family residence, 2555 N 1050 E, Loogootee, IN. Burial will follow in Wagler Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2016 beginning at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until time the time of service at the family residence.
