Happy Halloween, the official times for trick or treating in Washington are 5 to 8:30-pm.
There are several safe stops in town. The city hosts stops at the Washington Police Station and West End Fire Station.
Other events Monday are at the Perdue Farms Hiring Center next to Papa John’s..at the Eagles Club, the VFW in Washington, the Bakery House in Washington…at Bill Dobson Ford and at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Eastgate Manor and Washington Nursing Center will also be handing out treats. Also Daviess Community Hospital is hosting a safe stop.
Safety tips tonight include take a flash light or glow stick with you for the dark hours outside…check the candy for anything foreign or suspicious. Plan your route ahead of time, wear comfortable shoes and avoid wearing masks that block your vision.
