Ronnie J. Collins, 62 of Petersburg passed away at 12:30 a.m. EST on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana.
Ronnie was born in Marion County, Indiana on January 7, 1954 to Delbert Collins and Francess Wright.
He was a Jail Commander for the Pike County Sheriff Department.
His wife, Barbara Collins whom he married on February 1975 survives. Other survivors include sons; Robert (Jessica) Collins of Petersburg and Christopher (Marie) Collins of Petersburg, sister; Kay Fleetwood of Vincennes, along with 5 grandchildren. Preceding in death was a daughter, April Collins.
Ronnie attended Nazarene Church in Petersburg, IN and was a member of the Pike County Sheriff’s Association.
Services will take place at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg with Pastor Robin Overbey on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be also be at Harris Funeral Home from 4-8pm Thursday, October 13, 2016, and 8am-time of service Friday, October 14, 2016. Burial will be at Walnut Hills Cemetery.
