The family of Julia Ann Woods mourns her passing.

She was born Aug. 31, 1959, at Newport, Rhode Island, to Alvin Richard Woods Jr. and Barbara Ann (Michaels) Woods. She entered eternal rest Thursday surrounded by loving family.
Her memory will be cherished by siblings Lea Woods Lemon and David Woods; and two nieces and four nephews.
She is reunited in the presence of our Heavenly Father with both parents; siblings Richard Woods and Andre Merrill; and brother-in-law John Lemon.
Julia’s generous, loving spirit guided her to become a registered nurse, where she retired from Riley Hospital for Children, Pediatric Burn Unit. The Holy Spirit also guided her to the Convent of Little Sisters of the Poor, Indianapolis, where she began the process of progressively taking on the mind and heart of Christ and the spirit of Saint Jeanne Jugan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday by Rev. Paul Ferguson, pastor of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Washington. A wake service will be observed 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. concluding with recitation of the Rosary at the church. The Rite of Committal will immediately follow the Mass in the family plot of St. John’s Cemetery.
