Ozone pollution is expected to reach into levels considered unhealthy for some people today.

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management extended the alert to all of Southwestern Indiana, including: Daviess, Knox, Pike, Gibson, Dubois, and Greene counties. Ozone levels are expected to be in a range that is unhealthy for sensitive groups such as active children and adults, and people with respiratory disease and asthma.
Those included in those groups are advised to limit prolonged outdoor exertion, especially between noon and 7 p.m. when ozone pollution reaches its highest concentrations.
