Agnes M. Lamb

Agnes M. Lamb, 89, of Washington, passed away at 4:30 a.m. Thursday at Hillside Manor Nursing Home.

 


She was born Nov. 25, 1926, in Washington, to Roy and Margaret (Alsman) White. She attended Washington schools and worked at American Laundry for over 26 years. She was a member of the Washington VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters, Connie Rayman of Washington, Barbara Leonard of Jasper, and Sharon Nicholson of Huntingburg; one brother, Richard White of Boonville; sisters Norma Cronin of Chandler, Laura Clements of Evansville, Margaret Kay Young and Janet Covington, both of Greenville, Kentucky, and Judith Meiners of Lexington, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Isaac Lamb, whom she married March 26, 1946, preceded her in death on March 5, 2002. She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Kelly Nicholson; one great-granddaughter, Anna; and two great-grandsons, Zachary and Matthew.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Ed Lee Mortuary, with Pastor Howard Geck officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
