Twenty seven million dollar budget presented Thursday night.

The Washington Community School Board will vote on their budget later this month.

Last night at a public hearing on the budget, the corporation presented a 27 million dollar spending plan.  The Washington Times Herald says that’s a slight increase as the general fund budget is being advertised at 18 million this year, which is a half million higher than last year. The advertised tax rate will be 1.82 cents, but is expected to come in under a dollar.

The final vote is September 15th on the budget then it goes to the state for their approval.
