It was an 8 year old that was allegedly responsible for the phone call reporting a man with a gun at Loogootee Elementary on Monday morning.
The apparent prank call came in at 11:40am at prompted a school lock down at the elementary and the Junior/Senior High.
Loogootee Police Chief Kelly Rayhill told the Washington Times Herald http://www.washtimesherald.com/ the call was traced to a specific phone and surveillance video helped to identify the caller. The child says they made the call because they were bored.
The case has been turned over to the probation department.
