The recounts in the Democrat Primary for 8th District Congress is over.

The recount started in Clay County a little less than a month ago ended yesterday in Pike County.
Dr. David Orentlicher requested the recount after losing to Sullivan’s Ron Drake by only 68 votes.
All of the ballots are impounded and a hearing, expected to last three days is set for next week in Vincennes which will allow the candidates to argue or any questioned ballots. Reports are that it seems some ballots in the recount were changed but it’s not enough to change the outcome.
When a winner is declared, they will have to ramp up a quick campaign against Republican Incumbent Larry Bucshon.
