Separate accidents in Daviess and Dubois Counties result in trips to the hospital.

-One person was taken to the hospital after a 7:35-am Thursday morning in Washington.  36-year-old Amanda Carroll was driving south on Southeast 7th and didn’t see a truck driven by 60-year-old Richard Wilson of Washington which was west on East National Highway.    Carroll was taken to the hospital after the accident which slowed down traffic in the area for a time near Griffith Elementary on the first day of school.

-A driver walked away from a crash at 1 this morning in Dubois County. 23-yearr-old Courtney Sullivan was east on Dubois County Road 300 north approaching 325 east and saw a deer and got distracted and didn’t see a stop sign.  She drove through the intersection, up an embankment and into a cornfield for about 55 feet.  Her 2005 Pontiac was totaled and there was damage to the corn.  She was checked by EMS on scene for refused treatment for an ankle injury and went to the hospital by private vehicle..
