27-year-old Cody Keith of Evansville died after the crash east of the Dubois County community of Duff. Keith was a graduate of Washington High School.
Authorities said the 2009 GMC Keith was driving was north on Dubois County Road 600-west when he was hit by the passing eastbound Norfolk Southern train.
Reports are that the crossing lights and bells at the crossing were operating at the time of the deadly accident.
