Jacqueline S. “Jackie” McCain, 70, of Washington, passed away at 9:53 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
She was born Jan. 20, 1946, in Springfield, Illinois, to William Cle and Mable (Hickman) Crammond. She graduated from high school in Springfield in 1964. She was an artist who loved painting beautiful sceneries and other paintings. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She is survived by her husband, Richard “Rick” McCain, whom she married July 13, 1968; one son, Scott A. McCain of Washington; one sister, Margaret Ray of Athens, Illinois; one brother, Marion “Bill” Crammond of Rockford, Illinois; and three grandchildren, Clayton, Collin and Deven.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Barbara Jean Crammond, Marie Lee and Adaline Spencer.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ed Lee Mortuary.
Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
