The Loogootee School Board on Friday hired Andrea Huff as principal of Loogootee Junior- Senior High School.

She’s the second person to be named to the position in the last two months. The school system had hired Chad Musselwhite for the position in May but he resigned.

The Washington Times Herald reports that Huff, a Loogootee native,  has been at Barr Reeve for 10 years where her most recent positions have been elementary assisting principal and school curriculum director.

The newspaper also report that the school hired Betsy Graves as band director. She’s coming back to the position she held for 20 years at Loogootee before retiring two years ago.

Also hired Friday at Loogootee were Tracie McAtee as volleyball coach and Jon Niedeffer as transportation director. Athletic director Josh Mullis’ duties were expanded to include dean of students at the junior-senior high school to help assist in dealing with discipline issues.
