Man jailed for allegedly beating his great-grandmother

Zach Emswiller is in the Monroe County Jail charged with attempted murder.

 

 


A Bloomington man is accused of attacking and beating his great-grandmother.

Zach Emswiller, 19, was arrested early Tuesday morning after police say they saw him covered in blood on his great-grandmother’s front porch. Inside the house, officers found the woman lying on her bedroom floor. She told police her great-grandson beat her with his fists and tried to strangle her. She was taken to the hospital.

Zach Emswiller was charged with Attempted Murder, a Level 1 Felony, and Criminal Confinement, a Level 3 Felony, and booked into the Monroe County Jail.
