Early Wednesday morning, the Washington Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a concerned citizen stating someone was trying to break into the Stitching Post. Captain Steve Mize was the first on scene and stated he observed a male subject, identified as 47-year-old Kirk Shake, trying to get into the back door. Shake then fled on foot, and was subsequently apprehended by Officers a short distance from the Stitching Post. Shake was arrested for Attempted Breaking & Entering and Resisting Law Enforcement.
