2-Vehicle Wreck Monday Night Leads to Arrest of Plainville Man

Daviess County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a two vehicle accident late Monday night that happened in the area of County Road 650 E and 800 N. 

31-year-old Cletus Yoder was traveling northbound on CR650E and was approaching CR800N. 19-year-old Bobby Hodges was traveling westbound on CR800N and failed to stop at the stop sign. Yoder’s vehicle veered off the roadway and hit a tree head on and then spun counter-clockwise 180 degrees and came to rest facing southbound in a yard belonging to Laverne Knepp. Yoder and his 3-year-old son were treated at the scene. Yoder’s 7-year-old and 9-year-old sons were transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital then flown to Evansville Hospital for treatment of their injuries. After hitting Yoder’s vehicle, Hodges vehicle hit the house of Laverne Knepp. Hodges was treated at Daviess Community Hospital and tested positive for THC/Marijuana. He was transported to the Daviess County Security Center and charged with 2 counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and one alcohol offense charge.
