It’s the last day of the Summerfest while the Daviess County Fair is getting into full swing for the week.
It’s the final and biggest day of the Loogootee Summer Fest on West Main in Loogootee. Craft booth and food stands open at 10. The VFW Beer Garden is open at noon Today the rides are open from 4 to 10. There’s a cars show on Mill Street at 4. Also at 4 a Sidewalk Chalk contest for kids. There’s a demo derby at 5 tonight, a parade at 6:30 and live music on the stage tonight and then fireworks scheduled to 10 tonight.
At the Daviess County Fair today it’s considered the official first day as the parade is set for 5:30 through Elnora this evening. The carnival opens at 6 and there are Super Truck and Tractor Pulls in the arena. Coming up tomorrow there’s a open board an dmeat jackpot in the show arena. The carnival opens at 6. There’s a community Vesper Service at 6:30 at the WAMW WFML Free Stage followed by a performance by the Red Roots at 7.
