Marijuana laced cookies passed out at a church

Parishioners age 12 to 70 ate the THC laced cookies…

Six members of the St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Ellettsville were sickened by drug-laced cookies they were given after Sunday Mass on May 22. Police say a fellow parishioner is the one who handed them out. At least one of the cookies showed it contained THC – the active component of marijuana. Police were unwilling to say it was the THC that made the people sick, but said it was the only common factor between each of the cases. The church’s pastor, Father Daniel Mahan, says he feels terrible for the victims. He also says he’ll wait on the final results of the police investigation before making any decisions about church discipline.  One of the cookies has been sent away for analysis.  The cookie-eaters range in age from 12 to 70.
