You are being asked to help determine just what the town of Montgomery needs….

The Town of Montgomery is seeking public input to help shape the future of their community through the development of a Comprehensive Plan. Town Council member Darin Steiner says a meeting is slated for June 14TH to gather information for the plan including what the public believes Montgomery needs in the way of amenities, what upgrades need to happen and just what they thing the future of Montgomery looks like.

A similar meeting was held 8 years ago and needs like trash pickup and zoning were addressed.

Town Board President Mike Healy (heeley) says a new plan is needed as time’s have changed…

Healy says all the information will be reviewed and summarized and presented in a follow up meeting in September. Healy called the plan a roadmap for the next 8 to 10 years. The plan will be used not only to talk about the public’s needs, but contain engineering studies on the future of utilities and infrastructure. Healy says the affect of I69 just four miles away will also be part of the information and plan.

Again the public meeting is June 14th at 6 at the Montgomery Ruritan Building. The facebook page is Montgomery Comprehensive Plan.  https://www.facebook.com/montgomerycomprehensiveplan/timeline
